Budget Skills That Actually Stick
We teach budget control through practical experience, not theory. Learn from people who've managed real household finances and worked with clients across different income levels.
Meet Your Program Guides
These aren't academics teaching from textbooks. Both have spent years helping actual families get their finances sorted. They've seen every mistake in the book and know what really works when life gets messy.
Tom Barrett
Household Budget SpecialistTom worked in retail banking for eight years before shifting to budget education in 2019. He brings hands-on experience from helping over 200 families create realistic spending plans that actually fit their lives.
Sophie Chen
Personal Spending StrategistSophie started doing freelance budget consulting in 2017 after turning her own finances around. She's blunt about what works and what doesn't, which participants seem to appreciate.
How the Program Unfolds
We spread this across fourteen weeks starting August 2025. Each phase builds on previous work, so you're not cramming everything at once.
Getting Real About Numbers
Weeks 1-3You'll track where your money actually goes for three weeks. Most people are surprised by what they find. We look at patterns together and identify where small changes could make a real difference.
Building Your Framework
Weeks 4-7This is where you create a budget that fits your actual life. We work through different approaches until you find one that doesn't feel restrictive. Tom and Sophie provide feedback based on what they've seen work for others in similar situations.
Dealing With Real Life
Weeks 8-11Unexpected expenses happen. Your car breaks down or the washing machine dies. We walk through handling these situations without derailing everything you've built. Practice scenarios help prepare you for actual challenges.
Making It Sustainable
Weeks 12-14The final weeks focus on maintaining what you've learned. We discuss common pitfalls and how to adjust your approach when circumstances change. You'll leave with practical tools and realistic expectations.
